  • Licensed veterinarian. Ask for their CMVP license number and check it.
  • Emergencies. Ask whether they are open 24 hours or where they refer patients at night.
  • Your kind of animal. Not all of them treat rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles or axolotls. Ask before you go.
  • Clear prices. Ask for the cost of the consultation and any tests before agreeing to them.
